When Jack Lord and Belle were having their morning coffee, the telephone gave a sharp ring. Jack lifted the receiver, and said. "Jack Lord here." A very quiet voice asked him to have a meeting at Kings and Twelfth at three o'clock. "I believe we have another case," Jack said, and asked if Belle would join him. "So what are we looking for?" She asked. "Someone kidnapped this mans wife, and he want us to meet him at three." "Well that gives as some time," answered Belle. "I thought we could have an early lunch and meet our new customer a bit early. He sounded so frightened, I'm sure he'll be there early." said Jack as he made himself ready to leave the office. Arriving to the address, they found a donuts place that served coffee, and sat down by a window to check out the crossing. "That man on the other side of the street, he looks very nervous. Should I go and have a word with him? asked Belle. "Yeah, do that. I have a feeling he is our man." Belle went pout, and it was Mr. Landly their new customer. Belle and Landly went back to Jack, and Landly explained that the kidnappers wanted three million dollars, "or they would kill Mrs. Landly. It is impossible to get my hand on that kind of money without the government knows about it." "Let's Belle have a talk with them, and let her explain the situation." Belle had to meet a Julia Swan, a member of the kidnapping gang. As they knew that Belle was not associated with Landly, she was taken prisoner, and tied up together with Mrs. Landly. Jack Lord that had a tracking device installed on Belle's car, where able to follow them. And with Belle's help, the entire kidnapping gang was taken by the police, and Mrs. Landly was safely brought home.
