L. June Stevenson captures life in all its changing scenes and nuances in her poetry. June has been writing ever since she can remember. She was 12 years old when her first poem was published in the local Cornwall, Ontario Daily Standard Freeholder.
A member of the Word Guild (TWG), TOPS (The Ontario Poetry Society), Honorary Member and Past President of the Canadian Church Press, and past member of the Board of the Associated Church Press, June has won many awards nationally and internationally for her writing and editing. She spent 24 years as editor of The Glad Tidings, Women’s Missionary Society, The Presbyterian Church in Canada, during which time she travelled extensively. Her work is published in several anthologies. Included in her awards is a Word Guild Award for song lyrics.
June’s partner and muse, Terry, keeps her on her toes, as do her daughter Laura and family and her son Lawrence and family.
