The author, John DeCoste, weaves you through an incredible and adventurous pattern of personal life experiences from his early years of childhood and adolescence in his beloved village of Arichat in Cape Breton. He then takes you through his seminary training in the U.S., in England and Canada and finally his adventures as a missionary in Africa, in particular his adventures in Burkina Faso, Nigeria and the Congo. He witnessed the Congo/Rwanda crisis and lived through the genocide and war in that area, events that truly touched his life deeply.
