This is part of a series of books in which particular verses are picked from books of the bible, and the issues of the Ministry of the Word are explored, in the light of the mind of God for us.
In this book, we explore four topics, from different verses in the books of Ezra, Esther and Job. They are: A man of the word; The power of the King’s word; The ear tastes words; and Multiplying words without knowledge.
Excerpts:
A man of the word
“It is one of the seven gifts of God as outlined in the book of Romans by Paul (Romans 12:3-8). And one of the ministries set in the church is that of a Teacher (Ephesians 4:10-14). There is a difference between the two (gift of teaching and Ministry of a Teacher), with the latter carrying more authority and scope of expression (combining with a leadership status in the body of Christ as a whole), and the former more localised and limited. The latter obviously also possess the gift of teaching.”

The power of the King’s word
“Some say that Jesus is just a prophet and there was another last prophet after him, Mohammed, who is the ultimate prophet. That is not true. It is all grand deception. Jesus is the ultimate revelation of who God (Hebrews 1:1-3). He is not just a prophet of God, He is God; you can’t be more God than Jesus.  We don’t need any other person; we are complete in Him who is the head of principality and power (Colossians 2:10). He is the one; we don’t need another (Matthew 11:2-3).”
The ear tastes words
“For the truth, you should not just know it, but you must walk in it. James wrote: it is not the hearers only that will be blessed but the doers of the word (James 1:22). Those who just want to hear and acquire knowledge to boast about it are merely deceiving themselves (1Corinthians 8:1). It is not real truth, if it is not transforming truth (John 8:32).”
Multiplying words without knowledge
“Conforming to the world is the very present danger we all face. That is why we should actively pursue positive changes in our minds.  If we would not be transformed in our minds to the higher realm of the knowledge of God, we would be conformed, confined to the lower level of the world, earth-limited lifestyle. To be transformed is to attain to the fullness of our potentials; to conform means to be sidetracked, to be caged by our surrounding, following our humanity rather than our divinity, following the ways of the world and neglecting the way of God.”
