Ignác Kúnos (originally Ignác Lusztig; 12 October 1860 – 12 January 1945) was a Hungarian folklorist, linguist, turkologist. He was one of the most avowed scientist of Turkish dialectology and folk literature. He started his career focusing on the dialectology, phonological and morphological of the Hungarian language, and at university he started interesting in Turkish philology and language. After his trip at the Orient he collected Turkish fairy tales and published it in Forty-four Turkish Fairy Tales.
The Brother and Sister is a fairy tale from the Forty-four Turkish Fairy Tales collected and published by Ignác Kúnos in 1913. There was an old Padishah who had a son and a daughter. When Padishah died, his son reign in his stead, but, not for a long time ago, a brother and a sister have spent all money. So why they have to leave home, because it will be too shameful if anybody know. What will happen with the young brother and sister? How and where will they live after it? What ordeal will they face on the way?
