Research Paper (undergraduate) from the year 2015 in the subject Social Pedagogy / Social Work, , language: English, abstract: The successes of social networks in suicide prevention are seen in various facebook support groups that catered USA citizens. In case of the UK, the availability of suicide care provider hotlines have given people with suicidal thoughts the chance to relieve themselves. The aim of this study is to understand the processes of support groups that lead to its success in reducing or erasing suicidal thoughts and depression in the members. The success is based on the observation of researcher in those support group pages. It is beneficial as lives matter and we only live once in this world. The researcher would like to know how the research helped creating a move forward attitude of members with suicidal thoughts members or depression. The researcher would also like to know the success-rate of these support groups helps those who have suicidal thoughts or depression. The author of this paper is not a native English speaker.
