Essay from the year 2015 in the subject History - Asia, National University of Malaysia, course: History, language: English, abstract: 'Learning from Japan' is a word of wisdom expressed by Lee Kuan Yew to speed up the industrialization process between Singapore and Japan. This motto gives great meaning in an effort to further strengthen Singapore's economy in particular, and the ASEAN economies generally, in helping the region achieve a self-sufficient level expected. By making Japanese an economy example, Singapore will be able to acquire the skills and expertise of Japan in the field of economy, science and technology to serve as a stimulus to progress the region. Japan has cultural characteristics that are closer and suitable example for ASEAN countries because its eastern elements. Singapore's move to emulate Japan is made because the country's ability to develop its economy from collapse after the Second World War to became a respected industrial country.
Winning Second Place in Malaysian Historical Essay Writing Competition 2013, Dr. Uqbah Iqbal was the recipient of Research University Fellowship Scheme, MyBrain 15 (MyPhD) Postgraduate Scholarship Programme, Graduate on Time Award, Outstanding Student Award, the Youngest Ph.D. in History Holder and the sole Malaysian achieved a Ph.D. in History in conjunction with the 43rd Convocation of the National University of Malaysia. He's authoring 66 books/ebooks and his 294 articles appeared in international and national journals. He's joining the editorial board of 85 journals. In the process, he became Chief Editor, Associate Editor, Guest Editor, International Advisory Board, Conference Organizer and Review Committee. He's also a reviewer for 232 journals and 8 book publishing companies/book websites. Until now, he has published 460 publications as well as rate 1,399 submissions for WEBook and reviewed 1,475 manuscripts and articles for journals and conferences. Through his involvement as a reviewer with the Nonfiction Authors Association, 15 of his reviewed books received Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards. Through his involvement in the academic world from 2016 - present, various organizations recognize his talent, among others are Valuable Author, Editor and Reviewer under Management Journals Category; one of the brilliant and most gifted minds of this century; World Champion candidate in Social Science & Humanities; recipient of Dr.h.c. of Humanity and Candidate for Interview of World's 500 Most Influential People on Earth in 2018. Currently, there are 118 book companies around the world that are selling his books/ebooks.
