Charles Montgomery Skinner (1852-1907) was an American writer who published myths and legends collection books. His dream was to make American folklore heritage more glorious. Skinner worked in a wide range of genres, he worked as a journalist and a playwright. The Governor's Right Eye by Charles Skinner is a story about old Governor Hermenegildo Salvatierra who had only one eye. The other one was shot out by an indian warrior arrow. But one day he decided to astonish everyone with his right eye. No one knew how and what happened. Priests thought it was effect of goodness and faith. After a while people started to fear that eye and the old man itself turned into angry and guilty man. But why? The end of the story both unexpected and intriguing. Have a nice reading.
