After the local government made her shut the nudist colony down she decided to get her revenge by turning it into a summer camp for juvenile delinquents from New York City.
I was looking forward to meeting some New York City hoodlums, especially the girl hoodlums. I assumed they were much wiser than I and could teach me some new things. At twelve years old, when it came to girls, my mind was still sort of a blank slate.
We finally arrived at summer camp and it was sort of impressive at first glance. The long winding gravel driveway went through acres of wheat fields. We passed a small lake and some large low houses that I assumed were where we campers stayed for the summer. I thought these long low dormitories looked a lot like the chicken houses we passed in the south. All the other campers were supposed to show up in three days.
