Hard Luck Larry

His wounds were nearly healed from the unfortunate beating he had suffered at the hands of an old blind man with his white cane in the bus station waiting room last month. He was still getting a hard time about it from the other officers. A sharp pain briefly crossed his forehead over his left eye. Larry rubbed the small lump on his forehead that was almost invisible now as he had a flashback of that embarrassing day. Larry had become the butt of many jokes in the police department that day, but he thought he was in the right on this arrest. The old blind bastard had just been lucky with the first swing of the cane and with the kick to his groin. Larry wondered if the old guy really was blind or faking it.
