"Everything about him screamed power at me. The way his thick fingers grasped around the beer bottle in front of him as if he could choose to crush it into a thousand tiny shards of glass at any second, but chose not to."

Katie is dragged along to a bike show by her foolish boyfriend Derrick when they encounter members of the notorious local outlaw motorcycle club, the Fire Breathers MC, and their seductive president Jonah. What follows is a headlong dive into a dangerous and sexy world she knows nothing about. Can she survive this crash course in what it means to be with a real man? Will she emerge on the other side with the kind of real gritty love she's been missing in her life, or will she drown in the dangerously alluring sea of leather, violence, and exhaust fumes?

Can she withstand the heat of a Fire Breather?

WARNING: This 7000+ word story includes plenty of racy outlaw motorcycle club intrigue & titilating graphic scenes. It is intended for mature audiences only!

Excerpt:
Conrad just kind of clamped down on the cigarette lightly with his teeth and raised his middle finger towards us.
“He… seems like a pleasant guy,” I said.
Jonah just shook his head. “Nah, he’s alright. You just haven’t spent enough time around here is all.”
“I guess.”
“You ever see brothers grow up together? How they always fight and roughhouse and tease each other – but at the end of the day they’re still family? It’s kind of like that around here.”
“I get it. I really do. I’m just not used to that sort of thing. I’m an only child.”
“Of course you are.”
“So… is that everyone?”
Jonah shook his head. “We got two more that are out on a run to Tucson, actually. Duffy and Shitbird.”
“Shitbird?”
“Shitbird.”
“Should I even ask?”
“You really shouldn’t.”
That one squeezed a little burst of laughter from my lungs. The entire atmosphere of the place was so strange and foreign to me. On the one hand, these guys were tough. I mean really tough. And mean. They weren’t to be messed around with. On the other hand though, they had a playful lighthearted sense of humor about them at the same time that made the whole thing seem incredibly seductive. I could see how people get sucked into this world.
