Man by nature, wants to dominate. We want to have control over our world. There is this feeling of inadequacy when we are not in control.
However, control should begin with oneself. For how can you lead others if you cannot lead yourself? How can you gain control over others if you cannot control yourself?
Personal Leadership is a book which is set out to teach you the principles of personal leadership. So we can begin from the beginning.
We live in an age where everything seems to have advanced, everything except one. Trips that used to take months two hundred years ago are now traveled in hours. Tasks that used to take almost eternity are now accomplished almost immediately. Man, through the aid of technology, has redefined life. Things our ancestors tagged impossible we now take for granted. Indeed life has advanced beyond imagination. But even though technology has made us accomplish great feats, has man, himself, really improved much?
The most popular quote on leadership today is, "Everything rises and falls on leadership." What many of us have not realized is that the quote is not saying everything rises and falls on the leader alone, even though that is also true to a large extent, but everything rises and falls on "leadership". If you don’t know how to lead, everything around you will fall. And like John Maxwell said, the first person you should lead is yourself. But can you honestly say you are doing a good job at leading yourself?
In life, anyone can talk but only few really take the necessary steps to achieve what they talk about. The problem with many of us in this part of the world is that we tend to want to do by prayer what an increase in capacity should do for us. I believe in prayer but I also know that we have brains for a reason.
We live in an age where information thrives and almost everyone has become an expert in one area or another. The downside is that most people now think they already know all they need to know. And the day you think you know it all is the day your landing approach begins.
My name is Charles Silva and I am the Author of this book.
What I will be teaching in this book will be very simple to understand by all. But if you will just take your time to live them out you’ll be amazed at the changes you will experience in your life.
The evidences abound that if you will take the teachings from this book to heart and do what you learn, in a short while you will also be among the many people that have submitted reports of how this book have changed their lives.
Get ready for an experience like you’ve never had before.
