Dawn’s almost-fiance wants to take her to Cancun and thinks she can ship her 12 year old daughter to Dawn’s ex-husband over Christmas break, as if she were a FedEx package. It’s Dawn’s son’s 19th birthday and her friends—and Paul—don’t know she has a son from a teenage mistake. She’s wasting an evening at a special exhibition of ancient Egyptian treasures: no networking opportunities, and Paul has cancelled at the last minute to do a business deal.

Ellis Gordon loves Egyptology. It’s too bad that he can’t make a decent living at it. But he’s being paid to talk about the exhibits and can enjoy spending the evening in their company.

Petey doesn’t mind working at the junkyard. He just wishes they’d let him work on the engines . . . until .he sees the Golden Lady at the exhibit.
And Courtney is concealing a bootleg cat at home, and trying to keep the litterbox, food and water dishes out of the housekeeper’s way.

They need a minor miracle. And sometimes miracles happen.
