“The Secret of the Christmas Tree” is the story about a Christmas Tree, which has always been receiving gifts. One day, the Christmas Tree comes out to the world with the gifts that it received, and gives them to children who are in need. The Christmas Tree feels greater happiness than when it received the gifts. And when Santa saw the Christmas Tree giving away its decorations and gifts, he thinks that the Christmas Tree is to be valued than any other Christmas trees. This book demonstrates the true happiness that readers can feel when they share with isolated people. It also tells readers that God remembers their sharing.

<크리스마스트리의 비밀>은 항상 선물을 받기만 한 크리스마스트리가 어느 날 자신이 받은 선물을 들고 세상으로 나가 형편이 어려운 아이들에게 선물을 주고 오는 이야기입니다. 선물을 받았을 때보다 더 큰 행복을 경험하는 크리스마스트리. 그리고 자신의 장식과 선물을 모두 나눠준 크리스마스트리를 바라보는 산타할아버지는 세상의 어떤 크리스마스트리보다 선물을 나눠준 크리스마스트리가 더 크리스마스트리답다고 생각합니다.

전 세계인의 축제라고 하는 크리스마스가 되어도 세상의 많은 아이들은 크리스마스선물은 물론 크리스마스트리도 경험하지 못합니다. 세상 어느 곳에서는 이런 상황이 이해가 되지 않는 아이도 있을 것입니다. TV에서 보면 다른 집 아이들은 모두 선물을 받는데 왜 산타할아버지는 우리 집에는 크리스마스 선물을 주지 않는 걸까? 그 아이가 ‘아마도 우리 집에도 크리스마스트리가 있었는데 그 트리가 산타할아버지가 주신 선물을 모두 가지고 나가 나보다 더 어려운 아이들에게 선물을 준 것은 아닐까?’하고 생각했으면 좋겠습니다.
