The Secret of the Scarecrow

The Scarecrow was working hard to protect the rice in the field. But one day, the Scarecrow gets bored and goes to the mountain which
it has been only watching for a long time. The Scarecrow spends all day in the forest, and everything it sees in the forest looks amazing.
When the Scarecrow gets tired, it falls asleep in the forest. After the Scarecrow wakes up, it rushes to the field, but the grains in the field are already messed up by sparrows. When its legs feel weak, it sits on the ground with a deep sigh. But soon, the Scarecrow slowly stands up and goes back to where it was before. Through this book, readers realize that even a single mistake can cause huge losses. But they also learn that even if the mistake is so great that it is irreversible, the world does not end there, because life has to continue. Through this book, readers will learn how to acknowledge their mistakes and start again.

들판에서 열심히 곡식을 지키던 허수아비가 어느날 무료한 나머지 그 동안 바라만 보던 산속으로 놀러 간다. 숲 속의 모든 것이 신기하기만 한 허수아비는 온종일 숲 속을 돌아다니다가 피곤해 숲 속에서 잠이 든다. 잠에서 깬 허수아비는 부랴부랴 들판으로 달려가는데 들판의 곡식은 이미 참새들이 쑥대밭을 만들어버렸다. 다리에 힘이 풀려 들판에 주저 앉았던 허수아비는 어떤 이유에선지 자리에서 일어나 천천히 원래 있던 곳으로 간다.

살다보면 늘 잘하다가도 허수아비처럼 한번쯤 실수하게 된다. 그 실수가 너무나 커서 돌이킬 수 없는 것이라 할지라도 거기서 모든 것이 끝나지는 않는다. 삶은 계속되어야 하기 때문에. 그래서 그 실수를 인정하고 거기서부터 다시 시작하는 것도 커다란 용기일 수 있다.
