Jeremy & the Gay Widower

Jeremy is the product of both a broken home and juvenile hall. Yet he is still optimistic that he can make it on his own on the streets and he almost does, until someone empties his locker at the YMCA, where he was living. Left with insufficient rent and food money and a wait of two weeks for his small check from the fast food restaurant where he is working, he is forced to accept a gay widower’s offer of place to stay. At first more than leery of Mike’s intentions, Jeremy discovers the transforming power of love.

Jeremy roams the suburban streets offering to cut people’s grass with the second hand lawn mower he buys at a flea market. Mike, who recently lost his life partner, is depressed and has all but abandoned his house. When Jeremy knocks on Mike’s door, Mike spurns his offer, but Jake, Mike’s good neighbor offers to pay Jeremy to trim Mike’s overgrown lawn and thus begins the unlikely love story between eighteen year old Jeremy and a middle-aged PC repair man who has all but given up on life.
