Margaret is currently working at Kenilworth Manor Nursing Home as a pastoral care visitor.

She is involved with services of communion, monthly prayer services, and Songs of Praise services held at the Manor and enjoyed by all.

She began writing poetry around 2001 following a difficult time in her own life, and hopes these poems will bring comfort and joy to all who read them.

She says, "They are born out of what someone once called 'creative stress'.  In 2009 I found myself, usually a very active person, confined to walking only a short distance without great discomfort.  A lot of time was spent 'musing', and it was during one of these times that my first poem, The Garden of my Life, was written.  The illness lasted two years and I am glad to say I am now completely well. However the poems have continued to come to me and I have now been enabled to bring them together for others to share.

"I trust that the spiritual nature of the poems will appeal to all, even though a spiritual journey may not as yet have begun.  I hope the "humanness" of the poems will appeal to many, as of course we all encounter ups and downs, hurts and hardship as we walk along life's way."
