Il tracciato di cantiere dell’Augusteo in Roma: integrazione di metodologie di rilievo | Worksite tracing lines of the Mausoleum of Augustus in Rome: integrating survey methods

Il rilievo con scanner laser del pronao del Pantheon ha consentito di effettuare ulteriori verifiche sulla ipotesi di studio che vede nei tracciati presenti sul lastricato d'ingresso del Mausoleo di Augusto i disegni esecutivi per la realizzazione del timpano del Pantheon stesso. Questa ipotesi di lettura viene avvalorata anche dagli studi condotti sui numerosi esempi di tracciati di cantiere, che rappresentano dei veri e propri progetti di particolari architettonici, in scala al vero, utilizzati per il controllo delle fasi di realizzazione. La ripetizione in tempi diversi, facendo ricorso a diverse metodologie, di rilievi già effettuati, costituisce un'ulteriore verifica di questi e la premessa per un studio basato sulla ripetibilità di sperimentazioni dalle quali sono scaturiti interessanti risultati. | The laser scanner survey of the pronaos of the Pantheon made it possible to further verify the theory that the tracing lines engraved on the paving at the entrance to the Mausoleum of Augustus are the final plans for the tympanum of the Pantheon. This interpretation is also corroborated by studies on numerous worksite tracing lines representing the designs of architectural details, on a one-to-one scale, used to control the actual building process. Repeating previous surveys, but with different methods, was one way to verify the hypothesis; it was also the premise for a study based on repeatable tests which produced interesting results.
