As the blockchain protocols take the technology world by storm, a new type of crowdfunding has emerged and it’s called an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) or Token Sale. In 2017 alone, more than $2 billion has been raised this way and most of that was in the second half of the year.

In late 2016 and early 2017, it was enough to launch an ICO with a good idea and a whitepaper but as the volume of ICO’s escalates so does the competition for the investment dollars. Most of these dollars are coming from the new wealth generated by the rise of Bitcoin. This wealth is also relative concentrated making competition even more acute.

We, at Crowdbuilder believe that 2018 will be the year that marketing comes to the forefront and founders who start building out their marketing assets from day 1, will succeed in building a robust and authentic fan base so by the time the ICO rolls by they have a large community to market into. That community will not only be target rich with investors but will also help to fan the flames of the buzz surrounding the token sale.

This eBook lays out what marketing assets to build out and how to nurture the early stage community from day 1 without spending advertising dollars. In a later eBook we will discuss how best to spend ad dollars but this book will lay the foundation so that when the time comes those dollars can be most effective.
