Deuce and Josiah are enjoying each other's company.

They're in one of the local bars, sitting side by side. Aria's partner continues to pretend they are a couple, by showering him in pet names, but Deuce doesn't care. Beyond the Latino's obsession for all things attractive, lies a warm friend. A person anyone can easily relax with.

Deuce desperately needs to relax. He's been on the edge of a cliff; bruises have appeared on his body, without explanation. He's sometimes out of breath, even when he's holding a simple conversation. His heart aches, nightmares have been tearing him apart...and Machina, his crew partner, is blissfully oblivious. The only ones that know about his problems are Josiah and Linden. Its tempting to spill the beans to Nion, but then asking him to keep secrets would be cruel. Upsetting. Either that or he'd tell Nilin, and the last thing Deuce wants is to have Nilin worry about him. He had enough to worry about.

Stress knows no bounds. Luckily, Josiah's on board to give him a hand. While the rest of the world sleeps, the two of them drift through time on tequila and Jello shots. Deuce wants to intoxicate himself into oblivion, but Josiah keeps eyes on him. Abuelita's boy enjoyed binge drinking, before Deuce strolled into his life. Now Aria's partner keeps the drinking to a minimum, so he can keep Machina's partner out of trouble. "That's the end of our little adventure, mi cielo," the Prince of the '70s coos, caressing the Agito Crew member's back with a tender hand.
