Joseph Rudyard Kipling was an English short-story writer, poet, and novelist, who wrote tales and poems of British soldiers in India and stories for children. The Kipling’s writer masterpiece characterized by portrayals of people, history, and culture of his time, so Kipling was one of the most popular writers in England, in both prose and verse, in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. “Beyong the Pale” is the tragical story about a cultural differences between European and Asian mentalities. The story tells about a beautiful young Indian woman, Bisesa, who became a widow at the very young age, and an Englishman, Trejago, who eventually started the relationship with her. After an idyllic month one day he performed an ordinary favour to an Englilshwoman with no serious intentions.
