This is part of a series of books in which particular verses are picked from books of the bible, and the issues of the Ministry of the Word are explored, in the light of the mind of God for us.
In this book, we explore five topics, from different verses in the books of 2Corinthians and Colossians. They are: The fragrance of Christ; Preaching with your spirit; Adulterating the word of God; “Christ who speaks in me”; and The word of truth, the gospel.
Excerpts:
The fragrance of Christ
“Therefore, for all intent and purpose, it was Christ in manifestation that should be the focus in sharing the truth of the word, and in whatever format. That should be your intention as a minister of Christ: to reveal him at every turn, because it is not ultimately about your choice of words, the question is: is the Word (John 1:1-5), (Christ) in manifestation?  After all is said and done, that is all what really matters.  It is all about him, his message, and his thoughts. It is the unveiling of himself that matters; it is what makes the difference, the lasting difference.”
Preaching with your spirit
“Preaching from your spirit is preaching Christ, not just preaching about him, but communicating him in the full essence of his person (love), mission (riches) and passion (power). It is to open the eyes to all facets of spiritual truth, not just a pet topic (Acts 20:27). It is beyond hearing truth but it leads to speaking it, it is becoming one with the truth, being the ultimate aim of the preacher.”
Adulterating the word of God
“We should speak words that would empower the people to be all that they can be under God, speaking forth their divine destiny (Hebrews 6:9).”
“Christ who speaks in me”
“Recognising the latter in increasing measure (percentage-wise) is the mark of spiritual maturity; just as the writer of the book of Hebrews wrote that strong meat is not for babes but for those who by reason of use has exercised themselves to discern between good and evil (Hebrews 5:11-14).”
The word of truth, the gospel
“The bible says that we know in part (Jesus), we prophecy in part (Christ), and what is perfect comes (Lord), what is in part will be done away with.  There is the absoluteness of the Lordship of Jesus, which we would experience in a coming age, which is covered by the gospel of truth, making it an eternal truth.”
