Taking you through a journey, on a trip of raw emotion.

Only asking that you bare with me with all understanding, heart wide open. Although my heart is damn near shut, I am still willing to give all of me till my time gives up.

Cracking a window, letting You see what’s up, or better yet what’s always been. My how, My why, My where and when it all began.

Lost the most important relationships early on. Survived a few broken relationships which made me strong. On one hand, on one arm, only had a few friends who choose to hold on.

Allowing you to see my pain, my gain, and the many lessons in which life has taught me.

With one main goal that I may bring about a peace, to be happy.

So while you're riding with me, coasting through emotions. Unveiling, barring all of me, inside, out and open.

As you settle in my world, extracting these feelings, A lesson will always present itself within personal dealings.

Allowing my life to be my voice. With the possibility to change minds, hearts, direction, and most of all, another broken girl’s choice.

As you listen to my heart and hear my Pain beat, don’t be surprised if the music in my words move you intellectually, no filter, no fighting, no fussing…..

FORWARD

I've read many books and I've so far have had the honor to act as the editor for an entire collection of books, yet when I wanted something not written by me, that I could feel, that I understood, Mixed Emotions spoke to me even though we are from separate neighborhood's and from two different cities many miles apart reading this book really spoke to me like no other. I could feel the pain, the anger and frustration, her inner instinct to continue to keep on pushing despite the obstacles faced reminds me of my mentality. Stephanie is a fighter and she has delivered the first blow with Mixed Emotions. On this Rollercoaster of up & downs, triumphs & failure I saw the feint glimpse of a reflection in the puddle of water laying on the ground beneath this circus amusement as I went to & fro, and then within her “mixed emotions” I saw that she was more than a conqueror, that Stephanie’s a warrior just like me.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Stephanie Keith is 39 years of age from South New Jersey. She now resides in Jonesboro, Ga. A hard-working single mother of six beautiful children. Ranae Keith, Tanaya Owens, Quron Keith, LeBron Keith, Ky’Mori Keith and Kih’maR Keith.

Stephanie is a survivor of many trauma's, in which she incorporates into her writing as a source of therapy and healing. She has always felt thing’s differently, lived differently, looked at things differently and has always felt out of place because she was unable to make peace with her trauma or not being in a place of forgiveness.

Throughout this life Stephanie has now learned to live and let go, fall and get up, fail and then succeed, laugh and cry, be fearful yet still have faith and learn from every mistake.

Stephanie loves Music especially when it talks to her soul currently spinning on her playlist is H.E.R.. Stephanie is stuck on H.E.R. music she speaks the same language in which Stephanie has become a fluent speaker and this Truth speaks to her insides. Stephanie is a Homebody and nurturer to her family and children, as well as a humanitarian to anyone who has ever needed and or asked for her help. Stephanie prays that her words will not only speak into her testimony, her trauma, into the world in which she has lived but also into the life of any damaged person.
