Al Dunlap is an original: an outspoken, irascible executive with an incredible track record of injecting new life into tired companies. The business media have coined a new verb--"to dunlap"--when describing a fast company turnaround.

ALBERT J. DUNLAP grew up in Hoboken, New Jersey, the son of a union steward. He graduated from West Point and after completing his military service began a thirty-seven year career in business that took him to seventeen states, Europe, and Australia. He has held important positions at many companies, including Sterling Pulp and Paper, American Can, Lily-Tulip, Diamond International, Crown-Zellerbach, Consolidated Press Holdings of Australia, and Scott Paper, to name a few. He lives in Ocala, Florida, with his wife, Judy, and two German shepherds, Brit and Cadet.

BOB ANDELMAN grew up in North Brunswick, New Jersey, and is the author or co-author of fifteen books, including The Wawa Way with Howard Stoeckel, Building Atlanta with Herman J. Russell, Fans Not Customers with Vernon Hill (founder of Commerce Bank and Metro Bank), Keep Your Eye on the Marshmallow with Joachim de Posada, The Profit Zone with Adrian Slywotzky, and Built From Scratch with Bernie Marcus and Arthur Blank (co-founders of The Home Depot). He also hosts the popular video blog Mr. Media Interviews. He lives in St. Petersburg, Florida, with his wife, Mimi, son, Charlie, and fiercely loyal terrier, Chase.
