Editoriale. La qualità della ricerca nelle Scuole di Architettura italiane

Le Scuole di Architettura italiane stanno attraversando un periodo di notevoli difficoltà, non solo per la forte contrazione del numero degli studenti che si iscrivono, ma anche per gli esiti della VQR dell'ultimo quadriennio 2011-2014 che ha mostrato un inatteso abbassamento dei punteggi attribuiti ai SSD dell'Area 08a Architettura. Pur con tutte le riserve che in questi anni sono state da più parti giustamente sollevate sulla natura e ruolo dell'ANVUR e, in particolare, sul senso e affidabilità della VQR, ciò nondimeno questo imperfetto strumento è l'unico attualmente disponibile per valutare complessivamente il sistema universitario nazionale e, scendendo in dettaglio, le sue varie componenti: verticalmente le Scuole, le Facoltà e i Dipartimenti; orizzontalmente i Settori Scientifico-Disciplinari. | Editorial. The quality of research in Italian Schools of Architecture – Italian Schools of Architecture are going through a rough patch, not only because less and less students enrol, but also because in the last four-year period (2011-2014) the results of the VQR (Assessment of the Quality of Research) have highlighted an unexpected drop in the points awarded to the SSD (Scientific-Disciplinary Sector) in Area 08a Architecture. Despite all the reservations quite rightly aired in recent years about the nature and role of the ANVUR (National Assessment Agency of the University and Research System), in particular, the logic and reliability of the VQR, this imperfect tool is the only one that can currently provide an overall assessment of the national university system and, more precisely, its components: vertically, Schools, Faculties and Departments; horizontally, Scientific Disciplinary Sectors. | Facing English text
