A SHOW OF FORGIVENESS

If we can forgive someone who killed one of our loved ones, it will surely alleviate our own trauma.

STEADYING THE UNSTABLE

After a series of explosions caused by an underground gas leak in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, Tzu Chi volunteers delivered hot meals and supplies and comforted victims.

A SURGE OF LOVE

After the Kaohsiung explosions, volunteers from various organizations tried to make life in a government emergency shelter as comfortable as possible.

THUS I SAW AND HEARD

A Tzu Chi volunteer witnessed and heard about episodes of courage during the response efforts after the Kaohsiung disaster.

TRAVERSING LIFE AND DEATH

Volunteers helped and prayed with families of plane crash victims after a disaster in Penghu.

A NEW WAY OF RECYCLING

Pingdong, Taiwan, has implemented a new private/public model of handling recyclable garbage.

BRINGING LIGHT TO LIVES DARKENED BY AIDS

Volunteers in Singapore do what they can to help prisoners with AIDS, who are not covered by the country’s otherwise excellent healthcare systems.

FOREIGN SEAFARERS GO ASHORE

On this day Tzu Chi and the Taiwanese National Immigration Agency held a joint healthcare event to give checkups to foreign fishermen.

SHORT PIECES

Since 1986, Chen Mei-yi, a retired teacher and author, has left her marks on the history of Tzu Chi.

RESOLVE BAD KARMA, SOW BLESSINGS

People meet each other in this life because of the karmic conditions they created in their past lives. So we must cultivate good affinities with everyone around us.

BLESSINGS IN A SINK

For 40 years, Cheng Huang Jin-zhi has brightened up dark corners by washing and giving away used clothing.

FAREWELL TO A PARAGON

For 20 years of volunteering for Tzu Chi, Lu’s maxim was “Give people peace of mind, joy, convenience, and a shoulder to lean on.”

THE ILLUSTRATED JING SI APHORISMS

If you want to be loved and accepted, you must mind your tone of voice and your conduct.

TZU CHI EVENTS AROUND THE WORLD

Tzu Chi briefs from all over.
