消渴是以多饮,多尿,多食,形体消瘦,尿有甜味,尿液混浊为特征的一种病证。消渴又称为“消瘅”“肺消”“膈消”“消中”。 消渴的主要病机是阴虚燥热。阴虚为本,燥热为标,两者互为因果,燥热甚则阴愈虚,阴愈虚则燥热更甚。病变脏腑重在肺、胃、肾,尤以肾为关键。其发病原因有饮食不节,积热伤津;情志失调,郁火伤阴;劳欲过度,肾精内耗,虚火内生;过服温燥药物,耗伤阴津等。本证迁延日久,阴损及阳,可出现气阴两亏或阴阳两虚之证,并可出现各种变证,如肺痨、耳聋、翳膜内障、疮疖、中风等。治疗以滋阴、清热、生津为主。
