World War II Family Odyssey

Experience a heartfelt look through the eyes of a young family, struggling to overcome the dangers and trials of war. This is a true story of my Philippine-American family's amazing journey of survival during World War II in the Philippines. The events that happened during the war took place on the Island of Panay. This is where my family and their many pets trekked through this tropical island in search of food and shelter. They not only had to evade enemy capture, but avoid becoming victims of local bandits, that became active during the midst of war. They dodged bullets and grenades during battles between the Japanese soldiers and the Philippine Guerrilla Forces... while dealing with illnesses, scarcity of food and other hardships!
