The relationship of man and women in the society has been a topic of discussion from time immemorial. In recent decade, there has been a revival of the women empowerment movement at global level. Many reports and essays have been written in recent years on Women and how their role in a global society has rapidly changed. This short overview of Women Empowerment in past decades will serves as an informative and educative means.
We will take a quick look at how the genders stand apart from one another on economic, political, and societal grounds and if they truly manage to share power and the same legal rights; before rapidly going through some of the changes in society that enabled women to hold the place they have today in the world.
We will also go into some detail about how feminist and egalitarian movements and organizations act towards women’s rights. Then we will try to figure out if feminism really means equality for all in conclusion. As it often happens when it comes to similar causes, this situation is constantly developing, practically ever changing. As we are going to explain within this text, the main issue here lays in the current mindset of most people within different social groups, at all levels and from different countries and cultures (female subjects included). Equality between men and women everywhere in the world, it is a fundamental right for everybody, of value to society, for a democracy, for a just and right lifestyle. It is necessary that the people of the world would start to embrace this not only because laws force them, but also because they respect the idea on a political, social, and cultural level. Throughout history, there have been several examples of formal recognitions with the purpose of empowering women, but sadly, most of the time very few of these legal reforms actually really worked for the simple fact that most of the people, who make up society don't actually really believe in the idea that they are forced to respect by law. As a result, even in the Western world, we find a multitude of episodes of violence, abuse, and other problems. “Domestic violence exacts a multitude of costs. Annual economic costs (in 2003 dollars) was estimated at $8.3 billion, including $6.2 billion for physical assault, $461 million for stalking, $460 million for rape, and $1.2 billion for lives lost. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that victims of severe domestic violence annually miss 8 million days of paid work—the equivalent of 32,000 full-time jobs, and approximately 5.6 million days of household productivity (Burnett, 2013). Sadly, this phenomenon is commonplace throughout the entire world, and it's related to the lack of communication, social values and structural psychology roles that are still to be changed.

The concept of empowerment is strictly connected with the concept of equality, freedom, justice, and well-being. No matter where you come from, no matter your religion, no matter your ethnicity, and no matter your political ideas, you have the right to pursue a happy, safe, and prosperous life, just like any other single individual alive on the planet right now. Sex, race, ideologies, and beliefs should not be considered "separators", but they should represent the rich cultural diversity of mankind. This publication will take your throughout the journey, exploring many different aspects of the story of women empowerment. From the condition of society in ancient times, to the first revolutions, the first feminist movements up to the current situation in many areas of the world we live in.

You will learn a lot about women empowerment through this book.
