Where’s the Salt?

Most Christians are familiar with the Sermon on the Mount and the Beatitudes. But rarely do we consider or discuss how these words strike to the core of our lives. In Where’s the Salt? author Steven S. Purdy explores a portion of that discourse and considers how the ideas presented there relate to our daily lives. He shares a new perspective regarding humanity’s purpose on earth, particularly as it relates to faith and to Jesus, and describes how this perspective contrasts with today’s churches and values. He also presents observations on the state of American society with these ideas in mind. Most importantly, he seeks to provide insight and inspiration for the day-to-day experiences and outlooks of believers. This study examines the concept of salt, as described in the Sermon on the Mount, within Christian faith and society, offering commentary on current events and faith.
