Where was God?

Where Was God is a testimony of one man, Jeremy Verret, who after suffering abandonment, abuse, neglect, alcoholism, drug addiction, incarceration, and homelessness was finally broken enough to call out to the God who had been calling out to him since his childhood. Numerous people, many through no fault of their own have had to deal with, and may still be dealing with, one or more of these difficult but way too common life circumstances. In this book, Jeremy shares how the God of the Bible was always right there wanting him to reach out and take hold of His hand and be lifted out of the mud and the muck of sin and its weighty hold on his life.

For someone whose life is marred by one or more of these life tragedies, reaching out to God may sound easier said than done, however, those who have reached out to God and found Him faithfully waiting there would testify that it was indeed easier than they had convinced themselves that it was. The list above is by no means an exhaustive list of all of the tragedies this life throws at us, neither is it Jeremy’s intention to insinuate that the things he has gone through were any more difficult than the very real and tragic circumstances of life that others have faced or are currently facing. The story of Where Was God is primarily intended to illustrate the victory that is possible when a life full of trials, such as the ones listed above, are surrendered and submitted to the faithful God of the Bible.
