Whatever Happened to Lily?

Jay wants, above all else, to solve the mystery of Lily and why she dropped out of his life when he was sure they would be together for all time. She never told him why, she simply disappeared without so much as a Dear John letter. On his way home from Vietnam he vows to find out what happened, but finds her truly gone, and realizes all the things he never really knew. He clings to one clue, and searches for her, a search that will last for years. Decades later, Lily unexpectedly comes back into his life and he wrestles with the feelings of the past, the desire to reconnect. It takes much agonizing for him to sort it all out and make a decision that will hurt someone, no matter which choice he makes. The story of one man, of love and loss, conflicted about what he wants and what is right.
