Explanations – Daily Heroes – No 670 – What would have happened if?

Sophia had always admired beauty all along her life. She was 16 when she met Lucas. He was so good looking that she stayed there just looking at him.
Naturally, Lucas was conscious of his good looks and he seems not surprised at all. He was used to it. Only the absence of attention towards him would surprise him.
Sophia had such a sense of beauty and he thought that in marrying her would give them such beautiful children. That was the special reason for him to become interested to her.
He turned back and went to salute her : Hello Beauty! You are such a real beauty that I think that if we had children they would be extraordinary beautiful.
Sophia did not like this superficial allusion. But when he invited her to go for a coffee, she would not refuse.
So they went to a little coffee shop.
In talking with Lucas, she found that the beauty was absent on his speech. He was so superficial. She lost all her interest in him. He could not understand that she had lost all her admiration concerning his person and especially about his mind which was so empty.
When he asked her to see her again, she refused.
She simply said that she was working hard on her school material and she wanted to concentrate her attention on school.
She saw him a few years later. He was in the company of a younger person. She realized that if she had been too concentrated on his beauty, she would have been deceived a little more each day.
