Man has dreamed of faster than light drive so they can visit the any star in a decent time frame, one lifetime or with only a few years travel. Well Einstein's general theory of relativity says it's impossible. He and other physicist claim that gravity is the base that the universe is built on. That leaves all possibilities of manipulating gravity at travel slower that light speed, or maybe exceeding light speed by manipulating gravity in a way that we haven't turned from theory into a practical application.
The space between the stars is not empty. Dust particles, small rocks, large rocks called asteroids, probable rogue planets, just to name a few. The faster you're moving the harder the impact. Jump off a high diving board, entering the water at speed makes the water feel hard. To travel between the stars requires speed, very high speed because of the distances involved.
This story is about one man's dream to visit the stars, and his possible solution. What he finds, and what the results of his travels. It also demonstrates the usual effects of ambition, anger, fear, greed, and desire for revenge. The qualities that every individual possesses.
