Paranoia has driven the evil empress of Taigia, Mihaela, insane. She believes she is divine and immortal. She unleashes a war that could annihilate the already meager population of Taigia to rid the world of people she is convinced could threaten her rule or who do not worship her. Using that criteria, nearly everyone must die. It is a matter of little consequence because Mihaela is convinced that, as a god, she has the power to create more people.

Sina Talay MacAilpein Laymana, princess of the continent of Tala on the planet of Taigia, discovers a hidden book that teaches her how to use the electromagnetic energy stored in the planet and the sky. She uses this new skill to lead her troops in a planet-wide series of battles against the army of Mihaela. She is joined in her journey by her beloved brother and twin, Drest, and supported by a rude and sarcastic friend of a different species, Rill.
