Rasan is in the clutches of the deadly and cold-hearted Prince Shurn, brother of Malor, who believes he alone should be sat on the Kashalar throne.

Under threat and under pressure, Malor races to beat the deadline Shurn has set. Forty eight hours to give up that throne or he will give Rasan to Draven Umar - a man Rasan has good cause to fear.

A cold-hearted, dark-eyed man without apparent care for anyone or anything but his ambition, his gaze is nevertheless slowly drawn to Rasan.
