“We always said we wanted to travel when we had the time. Now it's our turn.” Thus retirement, in the year 2000, launched a four-month wander. We traveled by camper van, station wagon, train and and motor yacht in Australia and Bali and Papua New Guinea. We did underwater photography with slide film using large, heavy camera housings. We were able to keep a blog on the internet, despite the limitations of that primitive era, posting narratives and pictures as we went. The website was discontinued years ago, but we saved the parts, thus allowing us to rebuild the experience as a book.
