Mackenzie Taylor has lived in the small town of Kingston under the shadow of her father’s alleged crime. Twelve years ago, Taylor and the contents of his bank vanished. The ensuing speculation destroyed Mackenzie’s mother, sending her into a spiral of drugs and alcohol. After all that time with no word from Taylor, the currency he was accused of stealing is filtering in to the Treasury Department for destruction. Scouring the town and government databases for clues, their closeness creates an irritable friction that grows into a sensual heat.
