This is part of a series of books in which particular verses are picked from books of the bible, and the issues of The Power of God are explored, in the light of the mind of God for us.

Dwelling in safety
“Therefore as part of God’s safety plan for you, you are able to live above sickness and diseases (1Peter 2:24). That is why no plague will come near your dwelling.”
The enemies will be ashamed
“The devil thought he was harming God by killing Jesus, but at the end of it all he had himself to blame, he caused himself the greatest harm possible, losing his right of rule on the earth, which will fully manifest at the close of this age. With Jesus’ death, the devil was judged (John 16:11), and he is now only waiting for his sentencing, when death will be swallowed up as a sign of Christ’s total victory (1Corinthians 15:52-56). The bible says that if he, the devil, had known better, he would not have killed Jesus (1Corinthians 2:7-8).”
Helper
“The bible says that the reason Jesus was manifested is to destroy the works of the devil (1John 3:8). Before now, the devil was destroying our lives, as the spirit of the power of the air influencing our lives (Ephesians 2:2). But now, we are not only rescued, we are now given dominion.”
Taking refuge in God
“With the Lord as our refuge, the bible says that no evil shall befall us nor will any evil come near our dwelling place. He would give his angels charge concerning us, so that we would not dash our feet against a stone. Daniel was thrown into the den of lions but he escaped unhurt because angelic ministry was available for him (Daniel 6).”
Enthroned
“Joseph went from the pain of prison to the throne on Egypt. In the same way, from the pain of death, Jesus became enthroned.”
The Lord is strong and mighty
“Our strength is our unity. The psalmist says: “how good and precious it is for brothers to dwell together in unity,” comparing it to the oil on the head of Aaron, and that the blessing of God is commanded in such conditions (Psalm 133). Jesus Christ prayed that we may be one, as he and the father are one, being the sign that we are his disciples (John 17:11, 21-23), like Him.”
Believing in spite of everything
“In all the above situations, there was no way out except the works of God manifest (Psalm 90:16), except God showed himself strong on for those people (2Chronicles 16:7-9) (except for of those who did not believe God would take them to Cannan). God is ready and willing to show himself strong on your own situation, so I say to you like Moses said to the Israelites: the problems you see today, you will see them no more.”
