This is part of a series of books in which particular verses are picked from books of the bible, and the issues of Emotional Healing are explored, in the light of the mind of God for us.

In this book, we explore four topics, from different verses in the book of Genesis. They are: Guilt; Let there be no strife; Have no concern; and Do not be afraid.

Excerpts:

Guilt

“The false grace message offers you a broad way with only the one-sided fence of a false understanding the righteousness of Jesus and the grace we have through Him, that rejects dos and don’ts. Both lead to destruction.”

Let there be no strife

“But the solution that Jesus gave was that those John the Baptist sent with that message should go back to him telling him the His acts.  The solution to strife is to focus on the Lord. Strife can become a weight on us on our journey. And Paul wrote that we should lay aside every weight and run looking unto Jesus (Hebrews 12:1-15).”

Have no concern

“They enjoyed divine supply to the hilt. But there was a caveat. They had to trust God daily. God said that they should not leave any manna for tomorrow (Exodus 16:15-36). The plates had to be empty when they go to bed, they were not supposed to prepare for tomorrow, not hoarding the supply of today but committing their needs tomorrow to God. They were to jump like Peter into the ocean of tomorrow trusting in the promise of God to supply their needs. Following on that Jesus said that we should ask God daily: give us this day our daily bread (Matthew 6:9-13). That is a call for daily trust in God to live without concern.”

Do not be afraid

“We read in the bible that God will give perfect peace to the person whose mind is stayed on him. Conversely, when trust in God is not in place, fear dominates (Isaiah 26:3). God said: fear not, I am with you, be not dismayed I am your God (Isaiah 41:10). He knows that when our thought is full of Him (on his presence, love, power and purpose), fear has no place.”
