Alice Reed is desperate to find a job in her field a few months after graduating college. She's tired of the menial work she's had to do for the last four years, and she's ready to put her mind to more creative uses as a graphic designer. After Alice becomes fed up from interview after dead end interview, her boyfriend calls in a favor and lands her an interview at a large social media site.

Alice is overjoyed when her initial meeting goes well. It seems like things are finally looking up until she meets the creator of the site--Trent Beringer--and discovers that he's her ex-boyfriend. Seeing him after so long brings up memories and emotions Alice thought were dead.

She reluctantly accepts a special position that has her working directly with Trent. Dealing with the stress of a new job and working under her old flame puts her on edge. Then Alice receives mixed signals and begins to wonder if Trent has actually moved on, or if she's really over him either. Now she has to struggle with her own confused emotions about her feelings for her current boyfriend, Daniel, and her first love.
