Kunle, a successful business man is at the wedding ceremony of his daughter (Wonuola), at the Light Assembly Cathedra with his wife (Lillian) and their two children (Dare and Dire). Then the ceremony was interrupted by the grooms mother (Beatrice) the woman abandoned by Kunle many years ago, and tries to stop the marriage at all course, on the ground that the couple are siblings. Folake, the bride's mother and Kunle's side-chick of many years ago, tries to make the groom's mother (Beatrice) see reasons why their children should get married. Then one thing led to another and Kunle is told by Folake that the bride is not his biological daughter, right at the wedding, which sends the entire congregation into bewilderment and the wedding was annulled. Kule became dejected and suspicious of his wife, believing all the women he had in the past have let him down, so he decided to carry out a DNA test on the twins (Dare and Dire), the ones Lillian born for him. Then there comes a twist in the DNA result, and Kunle sent Lillian and the twins away. On the bead to start his life all over again, Kunle met a young and beautiful girl (Ada) from a village in the east, who was introduced to him by a business partner (Chidi), but Ada already has a village boy-friend Emeka, who is not willing to let go of her, all because of what she carries. Kunle seems to be drawn to Lilian once more and decided to get Lillian back, but Lillian is already with Salim, the supposed father of Lillian's twins. Kunle is left with nothing, and as he grows older, he needs a biological heir, which he must pass his inheritance to, the one he abandoned many years ago, unknown to him, and he vows never to set his eyes on his father. Twisted is a Nigerian play set in Lagos, and it brings together characters from the various ethnic groups. It is full of drama, intrigue, suspense, and comedy.
