Torn Lace

Set in the not so distant future, America as we know it has ceased to exist. Forced to parcel off existing land to help pay off crushing debt owed to foreign governments and corporate investors, President Rodriguez is desposed by a loose Confederacy headed by the top echelon of military leadership. Against this dystopian backdrop, Marie Lace finds herself in a desperate situation. Ever since the political fragmentation and its subsequent chaos, she has done everything within her moral compass to help her family stay afloat. On the brink of starvation, she responds to a modeling gig located at The Citadel; a building as mysterious, and eerie as its precocious owner. Now, she must straddle a dual lifestyle of decadence to her new employer, and devotion to her soul mate as the world descends into madness.
