Brian is feeling left out. His mama just had a baby, and no one has time for him anymore. Even worse, when he tries to play with his new brother, his mama says that he’s too big. But, when he wants to do things with his older brother, she says he’s too little. He just doesn’t fit in!

Brian visits his neighbor Mr. Gonzales. He takes Brian to his butterfly garden. There they talk about how a butterfly begins life as an egg attached to a leaf, unable to care for itself. Before the egg is able to fly, it must be a caterpillar so it can crawl and learn about the surrounding world before it grows wings. Like the caterpillar, Brian is just right for where he needs to be now.

The first book in the series Love God. Love Me. This series teaches children how to be self-confidence and comfortable in the God-given creation unique to whomever or wherever they may be. Book one is based on Psalm 139:13 “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.” Geared for grades K - 2.
