When cleaning the neighborhood homes with his mother’s vacuum no longer proves profitable, Remo turns to selling sandwiches for his livelihood. A self-proclaimed expert at everything, Remo decides to run the newly appointed family business from his storage shed. After convincing his nephew to drop out of school, and thanks to a chance encounter with a hungry hobo, who also shares a deep passion for quality deli cuts, America’s U.S.A. Sandwiches is born. However, an erratic economy, an alleged case of botulism, and a missing hobo leave Remo and his nephew with no choice but to leave the familiar suburbs of New Mexico and strike out across the country to attend a meeting that was never scheduled, with a man they’ve never met (outside of a wonderfully vivid dream), at a place they aren’t convinced really exists. Common sense is tossed out the window as the two impassioned travelers attempt to slap fate across the face.
