This Is the Modern World

Stephen Maddocks is an ordinary man who, following a couple of innocuous misdemeanours, is exposed to the political correctness and bureaucratic madness of the society around him. He is brought into contact with a string of larger than life characters, from the officious PC Harden to the suave but mercenary barrister Grayson-Hayes. His experience holds up a mirror to the values of the modern world, where the unscrupulous, the feckless and those of a compensation culture mind set seek to prosper at the expense of the decent and honest.
