Jake and Alex are in a panic. The new pastry chef, Roland De Mercier, is a complete disaster, throwing dishes and screaming at the staff. Two line cooks have quit. The servers are afraid to move. And the sous-chef is crying. De Mercier is threatening one of the cooks with a blowtorch, and the head chef is threatening to kill De Mercier and throw his body in the Dumpster. Firing De Mercier seems like the perfect solution. Until the woman Jake and Alex are trying to impress orders De Mercier's signature dessert—chocolate key lime pie in puff pastry. They realize they have no clue how to create such a bizarre concoction. Their best attempt looks like a blob of gray goo.
