In the book of Hebrew 11, we were told of several men and women who fought diverse kinds of battles in their respective generations. It was recorded in verse 33 of that chapter that through faith they subdued kingdoms, escaped the edge of the sword, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of aliens etc. These men and women fought and won the battles of life by their faith. In fact, it was written in verse 6 that without faith it is impossible to please God. What does this mean? If God is to take over your battles and fight for you, you must have faith to hand over the battles of your life to Him.
You should be able to trust and have confidence in God to fight on your behalf. Many of us want to be in control of the battles we don’t have the required arsenal to overcome. In Exo 14:14, God told the Children of Isreal that he will fight for them but they have to hold their peace. In other words, stay out of this and give me a chance to show you that I am your God.
Unfortunately, many of us do not even give God a chance to fight for us. A number of us go ahead to attempt to fight and come back with wounds and regret. Apostle John wrote in 1 John 5:4 that whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world and the victory that overcomes the world is our faith.
In other words, whosoever or even whatever can be fortunate to be born of God overcomes the world, and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith. Wow…astonishing! The victory that wins in this world of battles is our faith. The good book is saying that for you to be a winner in life, your faith is very important.
Therefore, the key to winning in the battles of life is our faith. Your faith is crucial in overcoming the battles of life. No wonder Apostle Paul wrote in 1 Tim 6:12 that we should fight the good fight of faith. The truth is the only fight we are called to fight is the fight of our faith. Whether you are fighting a physical or spiritual battle, faith is required to win. It took faith for David to defeat Goliath, it took faith for Abraham to defeat the 4 powerful kings, it took faith for Gideon to subdue the Midianites ( Judges 7), it took faith for Moses and the children of Israel to cross over the red sea and let the their enemies perish. Jehoshaphat had to believe in the Lord His God to fight his battles before victory could be won (2 Chro 20:20b).
The major tool you need to overcome in life is your faith in God. This book will teach you how you can win in life by applying your own faith. You will learn how you can build a winning faith to always put your enemies at bay. Contrary situations and circumstances will be forced to bow before you after you must have read this book.
