Draven knew that meeting Darcy would change his life! He fell desperately in love with her.

The introduction of a mortal into the Toreador Clan, and more importantly into the Arikeland family, was going to spell big trouble. His father Acheron strongly disapproved but his sister Imperia and brother Drakkar posed a more dangerous situation.

While dealing with family issues, Draven encounted treachery and deceit among those he trusted!

First, his uncle Thorne, who tainted his vampiric blood with heroin, became weak and subject to manipulation by the local mafia figure, Don Chessia. He attempted to take over the Arikeland family Corporation and insinuate himself in the casino complex that it was constructing out in the Boston Harbor islands.

In addition, his wife Darcy, the only woman he loved, violated the sanctity of their marriage and engaged in an affair with a neighbor.

Tied up in all this was Dravenʼs blood donor of 20 years, Elliot Jackson, who just happenedto be the current mayor for the city of Boston, who betrayed his benefactor.

As the story unfolds it is replete with complicated twists and turns and an unexpectedending.
