The title of this book, “The Truth Is In The Balance” was chosen for two reasons. First, I believe that in many issues of Christian doctrine, the positions that are taken can lead to extremes and quite often the truth can be discovered in finding the balance. Second, I feel strongly that this issue of going to theological extremes can and really does put the truth into a precarious position. “What is Truth?” Pilate asked Jesus in John 18:38. Even Pilate knew that truth was something not easily defined. Truth in the Person of Jesus Christ was standing in front of him and yet he still could not discern it. Truth is something we should fight for in a spirit of humility and love. It is my prayer that with the help of the Holy Spirit, this book will help you to be led into a deeper revelation and understanding of what the truth is.
